As they walked away, he called out and kept on asking her to look at him. But, she just shook her head. She couldn’t look at him. Not because she was angry at him. Not because she hated him. But because she was afraid. She was afraid that if she looked him in the eye she might break and show her tears. Because to her, if that happened, it would be a confession that she needed him. She couldn’t let that happen, because she was quite certain that he did not need her.
